The price to hire our venue exclusively for 2 hours is £285.

Within the time you will have access to all of our areas which includes our Luxury Soft Play, Montessori style wooden home role play area with grocery market and baby role play, access to our vibrant modern Montessori style building shelves, Sensory themed centre table, large craft table with party themed craft provided and access to our Sensory Glow Room.

We have 6 tables and 24 chairs for adults and party table and chairs for the children.

Our capacity is 20 children and 40 adults.

Our cafe area will be open on the day providing drinks and snacks if needed.

You can add on our food picnic bags for £5.95 per child extra.

We also offer many extras to make your party extra special such as:\

You are more than welcome to bring your own decorations and food along to your party.

Unfortunately we do not allow alcohol on our premises.

The space will be available half an hour before your party time slot for you to use for any prior party preparation if needed.

If you are not ready to pick from our extras just yet, that's no problem! You can add these on at a later date. We kindly ask you give us 2 months notice if you require any additional extras adding on to your party booking.

Lovely venue, clean, lots for kids to do. Sophie was so helpful before and during the day. Rachel was also there on the day too and both were fantastic. So helpful, friendly and made everything run smoothly.

The perfect party venue! This Sunday venue we had our daughter's 2nd birthday, at Sugar snap play and it was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The staff couldn't do enough to help, and we're checking in whilst we were decorating that the room setup was how we wanted it. The layout of the space lends itself perfectly with more than enough areas for children to explore and grown ups to have a sit down and a caffeine break! The two hours went so fast and a great time was had by all. I'd absolutely book again and would recommend Sugar Snap Play to anyone for their child's party.

We’ve had our son’s first birthday party and Sugar Snap play and our experience was flawless! The booking and planning process was smooth. There is lots of flexibility as to what they provide and why you can bring to have the party you would want for your little one.  It was an exceptional day. The venue is absolutely flawless! Very clean amazingly decorated with an endless variety of toys crafts and role play stations. The also have a brilliant sensory room which everyone loves and a baby room for 0-13 months for a cosy quieter space for the babies The place was decorated beautifully with great attention to detail with the chosen theme of ‘wild one’.  The staff were very attentive and incredibly  helpful and extremely professional.  Both the kids and adults had a wonderful time and we got lots of compliments at the end of the party!

We are so pleased to welcome you to our play space Sugar Snap Play at The Glass Yard Chesterfield!

We’re not a soft play centre BUT we do have soft play and it’s gorgeous! (if we do say so ourselves)

We know first hand what it can be like going to new places alone with your children and sometimes it can be daunting! Our lovely staff will always be on hand throughout your session to help with any questions you might have.

Our modern luxury soft play, set up with ball pit, ride on cars and hoppers for extra fun!

A home corner which includes a beautiful wooden Montessori-style shopping market, baby role play, kitchen and dining set and a dressing up rail for all of our imagination seekers!

A Montessori-inspired block play shelf, with access to high quality vibrant building blocks, wooden animals and plenty of resources to really ignite your child’s imagination, building small worlds, stomping through Jurassic Park, building a Farm Park and even the Empire State Building! The possibilities are endless!

A beautiful calm reading area, with a wooden reading arch, cream soft play sofa and cuddly toys for ultimate reading luxury!

Sensory Table - each week we will change our sensory table. You can expect to discover mini-beasts, nature building, small worlds, sensory play and so much more!

Craft Table - each week all the children will have the opportunity to feel inspired and create something beautiful! Whether it be scooping up some gorgeous scented play dough to create a yummy pretend ice cream or making a rainbow shaker! A new exciting craft will be put out every week!

Sensory Space - Our special dark room is filled with different calming areas, bean bags, soft seating, bubble lamps and fibre optic lights for all of our sensory seekers out there!

The Baby Space - our baby space is perfect for newborns right up to our wobbly walkers! You can expect to find soft seating with frosted windows for extra privacy, soft luxury tumble mats with access to sensory toys, ball pit and soft play perfectly safe for babies.

Our space has a baby gate on the door which allows you to sit back and relax with no worries.

Sugar Snap Cafe - You can expect to find delicious coffees made with our premium coffee machine, a range of teas and cold refreshments, and snacks for parents, children & babies!

This playgroup is by far the best we’ve ever been to. It’s so clean, educational and the attention to detail is amazing. The staff are so lovely and make time to speak to you and the children. The only issue I had was that we wanted longer to play! (Although now the sessions have been extended it’s perfect!) We will be attending this playgroup whenever we are able. I cannot recommend it enough.

Lovely space, clean and calm. Not overcrowded. Felt very comfortable with my 2 month old, lots to do for babies and toddlers. Sensory room was great. Baby room was lovely with different toys and different areas. Only improvement for me would be if one of the chairs in the baby room weren't facing out into the main room as would just provide a bit of extra privacy for those of us who are still getting comfortable with breastfeeding in public.  Will definitely be returning and would recommend.

First impression was of a bright, clean and very inviting place. It really is . The area is spacious and beautifully laid out with plenty of space for the children to explore the toys and different things laid out for them to experience in their own time and their own way. There was plenty of role play toys and craft tables and the sensory room was gorgeous. Our granddaughter had a wonderful time and we will definitely recommend this place to others and we will most certainly come back and play!

Been to Sugar Snap a couple of times now, it's wonderful! My grandson is 14m and most play centres are too boisterous and physically difficult for him but sugar snap is a whole other world! everything is beautifully thought out and he can access everything. The activity tables have encouraged him to stand to play and he loves the sensory room. it never feels cramped and he can always get a 'turn' on the cars etc. It's much more of a well thought out nursey setting than the usual play centres, and the activities change each week so there's something to interest him.  Can't recommend this place highly enough, it's absolutely the best!

Beautiful play centre, this was our first time and we'll definitely be back. What an amazing range of toys and activities. My nearly 9 month old loved the sensory light room. The amount of children attending was perfect too so it wasn't too busy and plenty to share.

 I will be back at work soon and was struggling for activities for the afternoon and the later play sessions will be perfect.

Staff were friendly, and though I didn't buy a drink, I looked at the menue and the prices were very reasonable.

I would like to thank Alysha for letting us book in for me, my friend and our babies when the group was sold out, she acted on this very quickly and professionally. 
She took time in talking to us and our babies and made us feel so welcome. 
The Montessori inspired setting is just perfect, each area has a purpose and flows beautifully! It’s clean, comfortable, Morden and perfect for mums and babies to get together. 
The sensory room was perfect for our babies perfectly laid out and the beautiful rug and soft furnishings, and the attention to details, they both loved it so much, and overall fantastic experience and will be back. 
Both babies was asleep on way home :) in no time.

Sugar snaps- what a wonderful idea! Why is there nothing else like this around...
A special play space dedicated to babies and younger children, up to 5, unlike other play areas this takes the worry out of bigger children running around etc, as even in the 'baby sections' they are often not monitored, so sugar snaps takes this stress away.

It is brand new, and lovely and clean, my little boy loves the sensory room... 

We went on a weekend and I know it was a trial, but being open on a weekend would be great for parents that work during the week...

We have already booked to come again ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very impressed! The whole set up is beautiful, very modern and clean and plenty of educational and Montessori toys to choose from. The sensory room is beautifully spacious and very comfortable. Although my little boy is too old for the baby room, a very quick peek showed it was utterly gorgeous, lots of black and white resources and soft play mats. The cafe area is pretty small, and no tables free, but as we weren’t using this area it was no issue. The toilets are spotless and everything is so clean in general. Makes such a change to usual soft plays / stay and plays. We will 1000% be back. The owner was lovely too, making time to chat to everyone. A great addition!

Our 2nd visit to sugar snap play was at least as good as the first! My granddaughter had a wonderful time playing with all the lovely toys available She loves the sensory room and especially the little “sea creatures “ in the light tube. She was also very busy making ice cream out of play doh and loves the slide and the soft sit on toys. We have just recommended this lovely place to two of our friends and we will be back very soon.

Clean play space for little ones with very good quality equipment. Separate gated room for the very little ones and a sensory room next to it. Small cafe area with sitting area. They could do with a toaster so that they can offer toasted tea cakes or plain toast alongside the traybake cakes with their hot drinks. There is a choice of child friendly snacks. I will be booking again as my granddaughter aged just over 2 years loved it.
